At the session, Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Ha Tinh People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term.

The Council also voted to relieve Vo Trong Hai from his position as Chairman of the Ha Tinh People’s Committee due to reassignment, and to dismiss Tran Tu Anh from his role as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council for the same reason.

Dương Tat Thang, a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and head of the Provincial Inspection Commission, was elected as Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh People’s Council.

In his inaugural address, Dinh pledged to build upon the legacy and experience of previous provincial leaders. He committed to ongoing self-improvement and close collaboration with the Party Committee, local government, and the people of Ha Tinh to achieve the province’s socio-economic development goals.

Earlier, on the afternoon of November 17, the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat regarding personnel matters.

Phan Thien Dinh, previously Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, was transferred and appointed to the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Executive Committee and Standing Committee, assuming the role of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. He was also nominated for election as chairman of the Ha Tinh People’s Committee.

Dinh was born in 1971 in Thuan An Ward, Hue City. He holds a master’s degree in public administration, as well as bachelor’s degrees in economics and law.

Throughout his career, he has held several key leadership positions, including Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien–Hue province, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee (formerly part of Thua Thien–Hue province), Secretary of the Thuan Hoa District Party Committee, Chairman of the Economic and Budget Committee of Hue City People’s Council, and Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee.
