On the afternoon of November 19, Nguyen Duc Toan, chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Nhon ward in Gia Lai province, confirmed that rescue forces had recovered the body of victim D.T.C., an elderly woman buried in the rubble of her collapsed home.
Earlier that morning, around 4:00 a.m., heavy rains triggered a sudden landslide from a nearby hillside, causing a home at the base of the slope in Hai Ninh neighborhood, zone 9, to collapse. Two elderly residents were trapped inside.

Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and managed to save the elderly man. However, the woman remained trapped beneath the debris. Her body was found by midday.
Authorities are now assisting the victim’s family with funeral arrangements.
Later that morning, around 2:15 a.m., another landslide occurred at Nui Mot area, sending rocks and soil cascading down onto zone 57 of the ward, posing a serious threat to nearby households.
Local authorities cordoned off the danger zone, posted warning signs, and began evacuating 35 families from high-risk areas.
Currently, three sites within Quy Nhon ward remain under high-risk landslide alerts. All affected areas have been cleared of residents to ensure safety.
Dak Lak: Youth leader dies in landslide

On the same day, authorities in Song Cau ward, Dak Lak province, reported a deadly landslide in Dan Phu 2 neighborhood. The collapse of a hillside behind a home led to the death of 33-year-old V.T.U., secretary of the neighborhood’s youth union.
The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. on November 19, when a mass of rocks and mud from the hill behind U.’s house suddenly slid down, causing the entire structure to collapse.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and reached the landslide site, but U. had already died, crushed under the debris.
From the night of November 17 through the morning of November 19, persistent heavy rain caused widespread flooding across Dak Lak. Several hillsides collapsed, burying homes, crops, and properties.
As of this afternoon, many areas in eastern Dak Lak remain isolated. Rescue teams are working to reach stranded residents and relocate them to safety.
