On December 6, authorities in Khanh Hoa Province launched an investigation into the crash, which occurred in the early hours of the morning and brought traffic to a halt for several hours.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred at around 1 a.m. as all three vehicles were traveling in the same direction, heading north on the Van Phong – Nha Trang expressway.

The passenger bus, license plate 50H-408.XX, was driven by Pham Cong H. (born 1979, from Quang Ngai). The truck, plate 89C-203.XX, was operated by Chu Van S. (born 1990, from Ninh Binh). The container truck, plate 77C-172.XX, was driven by Le Duy H. (born 1970, from Gia Lai).

The crash occurred as they passed through Nam Ninh Hoa commune in Khanh Hoa Province.

Without warning, the three vehicles collided in quick succession and were soon engulfed in flames. The bus and truck were completely incinerated, while the container truck suffered significant damage to its front cabin.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. All drivers and passengers managed to escape in time.

The fire, however, caused major congestion as the affected section of the expressway was blocked for several hours.

Upon receiving the emergency call, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Fire and Rescue Police deployed two fire trucks and dozens of officers to the scene.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze after an intense operation. The cause of the crash is now under investigation.
