A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of September 16 in Van Giap Hamlet, Thuong Tin Commune, Hanoi, killing four members of the same family.

According to initial reports, the blaze started around 4:30 a.m. while the family was asleep. The victims included a husband, wife, and their two children - one of whom was an infant just four months old. None of them were able to escape in time, and all four tragically perished at the scene.

Upon receiving the emergency call, the Hanoi City Police’s Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department dispatched Fire and Rescue Teams 5, 31, 32, and 34, along with officers from Thuong Tin Commune and local authorities. They quickly arrived at the scene to battle the fire and search for victims.

The fire was fully extinguished after approximately 30 minutes. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
