Following a period of strong population growth rate over recent years, the birth of the nation’s 100 millionth person is set to be celebrated in mid-April.

Vietnam’s population reaches more than 99 million in 2022, 10 years slower than the forecast, with the population quality improved and the population structure transformed in a positive direction.

Vietnam is one of the few countries with a rapidly aging population; as the saying goes, we grow old before getting rich. It seems that we have not prepared for this at all.
