At just 16 years old, Nguyen Tuan Anh is continuing to write a remarkable chapter in Vietnamese golf history with an extraordinary rise that has impressed professionals and fans alike.

In September, his triumph at the prestigious Singha Thailand Amateur Open 2025 earned him not only an international title but also a significant 47-place leap in the global amateur rankings, reaching world No. 170.

Only a few months ago, Tuan Anh was largely recognized through domestic youth tournaments. However, since claiming the title of 2025 National Golf Champion, the 2009-born golfer has demonstrated exceptional maturity and made a strong impression on the international stage.

He secured the Best Amateur title at the Singha Bangkok Open 2025, one of the leading events under the All Thailand Golf Tour. Shortly after, he shocked the regional golf community with his victory at the Singha Thailand Amateur Open 2025, a tournament with a long-standing tradition of developing Asian golf talent.

This achievement has solidified his status as Vietnam’s No. 2 ranked amateur golfer, second only to Nguyen Anh Minh.

More importantly, it has opened the door for Tuan Anh to potentially join the national team for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. While two official slots have already been filled, two positions are still left to the coaching staff’s discretion - where Tuan Anh has emerged as a top contender.

The year 2025 marks a breakthrough in Tuan Anh’s career. Domestically and internationally, he has consistently clinched victories at numerous tournaments: VGA Junior Tour 1st Leg, VGA Junior Tour 3rd Leg, Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, Vietnam Junior Open, and the National Golf Championship.

Now, with two international titles and a position within the WAGR top 200, Nguyen Tuan Anh has proven himself not only a rising star in Vietnam but also a legitimate contender in Southeast Asia's competitive golf scene.
