At the ASOCIO 2025 Awards Ceremony, Vietnam received 10 awards for organizations and businesses, along with a special honor granted to VINASA.

According to the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), the awards were presented during the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2025, held from November 11–13 in Taiwan under the theme “AI Shaping Digital Asia.”

Organized annually by the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) - representing 24 economies across the region - the prestigious awards recognize outstanding contributions to digital transformation, innovation, and socio-economic development through technology.

Vietnam tops Asia-Pacific in award count

Vietnam received 10 awards for organizations and enterprises, plus one Distinguished Contribution Award for VINASA itself, bringing its total to 11 - the highest number among participating countries. Thailand followed with nine awards, while Malaysia and Taiwan each received eight.

These accolades span diverse sectors, including smart government, healthcare, education, ESG, cybersecurity, and AI, underscoring Vietnam’s comprehensive approach to digital advancement.

Long-term commitment recognized

VINASA was honored alongside key associations from Japan (JISA), Thailand (ATCI), Malaysia (PIKOM), and Taiwan (TISSA) for its continued leadership in advancing the regional ICT ecosystem.

For over 20 years, VINASA has played a pivotal role in fostering regional cooperation, building a strong ICT community, and elevating Vietnam’s position on the international tech stage.

Chairman of VINASA, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, emphasized that this milestone demonstrates a strategic shift in perception: “Vietnam is no longer just a potential market - it is now a regional center for technological innovation and application.”

“Our companies are pioneering in new technologies like AI and Green Tech to solve macroeconomic challenges. They are also emerging as trusted digital service providers across Asia and globally,” he noted.

The recognition at ASOCIO 2025 reaffirms Vietnam’s readiness to lead in the digital era. It also provides motivation for the country’s ICT sector to continue contributing to global value chains while strengthening its domestic innovation capabilities.
