On August 27 evening, military units from Russia, Laos, and Cambodia joined Vietnamese parade contingents for a preliminary rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square.

The Russian flag-bearing unit, accompanied by an honor guard representing Russia’s three military branches - Ground Forces, Aerospace Forces, and Navy - marched in formation.

The honor guard consists of elite soldiers selected from across Russia.

The Lao People's Army, the revolutionary armed forces of the Lao nation, has long stood side by side with the Vietnamese people in their shared struggles for national liberation. Today, it continues to develop comprehensively, with the Vietnam-Laos relationship growing stronger - fostering firm friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation.

The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces represent the enduring friendship between Cambodia and Vietnam. The two countries have fought together for independence and freedom, and today, their military forces continue to strengthen bilateral ties, defending sovereignty and territorial integrity under the motto: “Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability.”
