The investigative agency under the Supreme People's Procuracy has launched a criminal case and detained the director of the Central Highlands Forensic Psychiatry Center in Dak Lak for allegedly accepting bribes.
On September 13, the investigation unit of the Supreme People's Procuracy confirmed the arrest and provisional detention of Tran Van Thanh, Director of the Central Highlands Forensic Psychiatry Center in Dak Lak, as part of a criminal investigation into bribery charges.
In addition to Thanh, four forensic examiners from the same center - Tran Nhu Hai, Tran Duc Tuoi, Be Thi Hue, and Nguyen Thi Ngoc - have been indicted and placed under residential surveillance. They are being investigated for "abuse of position and power while performing official duties."
On the same day, law enforcement officials conducted searches at the homes and workplaces of all five suspects.
The investigation stems from a related bribery case previously initiated by the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Procuracy, involving a person named Nguyen Trong Hiep, who allegedly offered bribes.
