Ho Chi Minh City received almost 8 billion USD in overseas remittances in the first nine months of 2025, reflecting a steady upward trend driven by favourable policies and investment environment.
Ho Chi Minh City saw 2.737 billion USD in remittances in Q3, down slightly from the prior quarter but up a robust 18% from the same period in 2024.

Former HCM City experienced a remarkable increase in remittances in the second quarter of this year, with inflows jumping 22% year-over-year to nearly 2.82 billion USD, according to data from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV)'s Regional Branch No.2.
Following 2023, remittances to HCM City rose to a record again of US$9.6 billion last year, the State Bank of Vietnam has said. They were up $140 million from 2023 and accounted for more than half of the country’s total remittances.
