Police in Ninh Binh have summoned three men who staged and filmed a sexually suggestive scene in a Mercedes to post online for “views” and “likes,” sparking public outrage.

On August 12, Ninh Binh provincial police confirmed that Phu Ly ward officers had called in V.T.T. (born 2001), N.V.K. (born 1997), both from Phu Ly ward, and N.V.S. (born 1992) from Ha Nam ward, for questioning. They are accused of creating and sharing false and fabricated content online.
The investigation began after a video spread on social media on August 11, showing a person dressed as a woman in the passenger seat engaging in lewd acts with the male driver while the car traveled along Le Duan Street in Phu Ly.
Authorities quickly determined the clip was staged. The group had planned the scenario, assigned roles, and had one man dress as a woman to act out the explicit scene before filming and posting it on social media to attract interaction.
Police deemed the case serious, citing potential threats to public order and traffic safety. During questioning, the men admitted their wrongdoing, removed the video, and pledged not to reoffend. The case is under further investigation for prosecution under relevant laws.
