On the same day, responding to the call from the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), Tran Thanh Lam - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - visited the Central VFF headquarters to donate 450 million VND (around USD 18,500) to aid people affected by recent flooding.

During the donation handover, Lam expressed sympathy for the severe losses suffered by residents in flood-ravaged provinces and affirmed the collective will of Party members, civil servants, and workers under the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to contribute in the spirit of solidarity and compassion.

Lam also called on the Central Relief Committee to swiftly disburse the funds to local communities to facilitate timely recovery and rebuilding.

Earlier that day, by noon, over 1.05 million citizens and nearly 61,000 businesses had already contributed. Of these, 1.118 trillion VND (approx. USD 46 million) was donated directly to localities by organizations that had registered via the Central Relief Committee, while over 970 billion VND (around USD 39.8 million) was transferred directly in cash or via bank accounts to the Central Relief Committee.

Since October, VFF branches in 34 provinces and cities have organized donation drives, encouraging direct aid to the hardest-hit regions in response to the Central Presidium’s call.

As of November 24, preliminary figures showed that the entire VFF system nationwide had mobilized over 3.2 trillion VND (approx. USD 131.5 million) for storm and flood relief.

The Central Relief Committee has disbursed funds in nine separate waves, totaling 678.182 billion VND (approx. USD 27.9 million), to the VFF committees or relief offices in 23 provinces and cities:

Thai Nguyen (45.12 billion), Bac Ninh (20.062 billion), Lang Son (30.5 billion), Cao Bang (35 billion), Tuyen Quang (35 billion), Lao Cai (25 billion), Son La (15 billion), Dien Bien (5 billion), Phu Tho (20 billion), Hai Phong (10 billion), Hung Yen (10 billion), Ninh Binh (25.5 billion), Thanh Hoa (25.5 billion), Nghe An (40.5 billion), Ha Tinh (40.5 billion), Quang Tri (55.5 billion), Hue (40 billion), Da Nang (40 billion), Quang Ngai (35 billion), Gia Lai (45 billion), Dak Lak (40 billion), Khanh Hoa (20 billion), and Lam Dong (20 billion).

Additionally, another 118.5 billion VND (USD 4.87 million) was directly disbursed to local governments and relief teams. The Thien Tam Foundation has also disbursed over 350 billion VND (approximately USD 14.4 million) in separate support.
