This afternoon, the National Assembly convened a closed session focused on personnel matters.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh presented a proposal regarding the dismissal of several positions, including a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Secretary General of the National Assembly - Chief of the National Assembly Office, the Chair of the Committee for Deputy Affairs, and the Chair of the Committee on Science, Technology, and Environment.

In addition, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh also delivered a proposal on behalf of the Chair of the National Election Council, requesting approval to dismiss a member of the National Election Council.

Following discussions, the National Assembly conducted a secret ballot on these personnel issues and announced the results through the vote-counting committee.

Le Quang Manh, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Office, who was assigned to act as the Secretary General of the National Assembly, then presented draft resolutions concerning personnel work.

Subsequently, the National Assembly voted to pass the resolution to relieve Le Quang Tung of his roles as a member of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee and as Secretary General of the National Assembly - Chief of the National Assembly Office. Nguyen Thanh Hai was dismissed as Chair of the Committee for Deputy Affairs, and Le Quang Huy was dismissed as Chair of the Committee on Science, Technology, and Environment.

A total of 431 delegates participated in the vote, representing 90.93% of all National Assembly deputies, and all 431 approved the resolution.

The National Assembly also voted in favor of the Prime Minister’s proposal to dismiss several ministers from their positions. Specifically, Bui Thanh Son was dismissed as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pham Thi Thanh Tra as Minister of Home Affairs, and Do Duc Duy as Minister of Agriculture and Environment.

This resolution was approved by all 418 participating delegates, accounting for 88.19% of the total deputies.

The National Assembly also passed a resolution approving the dismissal of Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Nguyen Thanh Hai, and Le Quang Tung from their positions as members of the National Election Council. Of the 428 participating deputies (90.30%), 427 voted in favor (90.08%), while one deputy abstained (0.21%).

Additionally, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh presented a proposal from the National Assembly Standing Committee to elect new members to the Standing Committee, a new Chair of the Committee for Deputy Affairs, a new Chair of the Committee on Science, Technology, and Environment, and a new Secretary General - Chief of the National Assembly Office.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also presented a proposal requesting the National Assembly to approve the appointment of a new Deputy Prime Minister and new ministers. The assembly then held internal discussions on the proposed appointments.
