After stunning world No. 2 Federico Staksrud in the semifinals, Hoang Nam faced Jack Wong in the final of the 2025 PPA Asia Tour Open, held in China. Wong was regarded as one of the strongest players in Asia.

In the first set, Wong started strong and quickly opened up a 4-point lead. However, Hoang Nam kept his composure, adjusted his strategy, and exploited gaps on the court to level the score. Gaining confidence with each rally, Vietnam’s No. 1 player stormed ahead to win the set 11–4.

In the second set, Wong fought back with determination, but Hoang Nam once again proved dominant, securing another 11–4 victory. With this straight-sets win, he sealed a 2–0 triumph and the championship title.

This victory marks not only the culmination of a successful campaign at the 2025 PPA Tour Asia Hangzhou but also the first PPA Tour title of Hoang Nam’s pickleball career.

Along with the trophy, Hoang Nam earned a prize of $5,000 USD (equivalent to 130 million VND), as well as 1,500 regional singles ranking points and 1,000 points toward the overall PPA singles ranking.
