HIDS is urging stakeholders – including electric vehicle manufacturers and assemblers, charging station and battery swap developers, ride-hailing platforms, banks, financial institutions, and transportation service providers – to actively offer programs that align with government and city initiatives.

Proposals may include price reductions on vehicles, special discounts on purchases or accessories, trade-in programs for old vehicles, low-interest installment loans with simplified procedures, and infrastructure investments for charging or battery swap stations.

Other suggested areas include diversifying product lines and support services, developing carbon credit systems with methods for measuring, monitoring, and reporting greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, sharing data for management and evaluation, investing in EV battery recycling plants, funding research and innovation in the EV ecosystem, and running public awareness, training, and education campaigns for green transport.

Among the recipients of the HIDS request are major industry players such as Vingroup, Grab, Be, Yadea, Vietcombank, and Honda Vietnam.

HIDS says corporate proposals and commitments will form a key foundation for building a comprehensive support policy framework, enabling effective public-private partnerships that balance the interests of the state, businesses, and consumers.

Enterprises are asked to submit proposals to HIDS and the Department of Construction by August 10, 2025, for consolidation and presentation to the city’s People’s Committee.
