AI Mode is currently the most powerful search tool offered by Google. It leverages a customized version of Gemini 2.5 and is specifically designed to handle complex queries that would typically require multiple searches.
The tool can generate detailed, synthesized, and visual responses while also providing links to trustworthy web sources, enabling users to explore topics further.
To use the feature, users simply visit google.com, select “AI Mode,” and type in their question as usual. Although the rollout is gradual, full access is expected by the end of the week.
For example, users curious about UNESCO-recognized heritage sites in Vietnam, or looking for the best waterproof smartphones, can type in lengthy, specific queries - and Google will understand.
Beyond text, AI Mode also supports multimodal input, allowing users to ask questions via voice, images, or uploaded photos. For instance, users can snap a menu and ask, “Which of these dishes are vegetarian?”
According to Google, AI Mode is still built upon Google Search’s core ranking and quality evaluation systems. It also employs new methods to enhance the reliability of results. In cases where the system lacks accurate information, traditional search results will be displayed instead.
Google emphasizes that while AI-generated answers may not yet be perfect, the company remains committed to continuously improving the search experience to make it more helpful, accurate, and natural for Vietnamese users.
With Vietnamese language support, Google hopes AI Mode will help users better express complex questions in natural language and quickly find the most relevant web content - whether for comparing products, planning activities, or exploring the world around them.
