In an official statement on October 15, the ministry emphasized that these rumors are fabricated, misleading, and distort the truth, causing public confusion and negatively impacting students, parents, and private educational institutions.
The ministry stated that it has forwarded the list of social media accounts responsible for spreading false information to the appropriate authorities for investigation and legal action.
It also called on the public not to share or spread these unverified claims and encouraged people to follow only the ministry’s official communication channels for accurate updates.
Previously, in late September, the ministry had already warned against similar misinformation regarding the restructuring of the higher education system in northern Vietnam.
A ministry representative explained that it has been assigned by the Government to draft a proposal for restructuring the national system of higher education institutions.
This task is still in the research and evaluation phase, being conducted in cooperation with relevant agencies. Any official plan will be submitted to the Government and the Prime Minister for review and decision.
