The trio, including the 14-inch MacBook Pro, Vision Pro, and iPad Pro, will be available starting October 22, marking a significant leap in Apple’s self-reliant chip strategy.

MacBook Pro 14-inch M5: Enhanced performance and doubled storage

The base model of the 14-inch MacBook Pro now comes equipped with the M5 chip, featuring a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine.

This configuration delivers 15% faster CPU performance and 45% improved graphics compared to the M4.

Memory bandwidth has been upgraded from 120GB/s to 153GB/s, ensuring smoother handling of graphic-intensive and AI workloads.

Users can now choose up to 4TB of storage, twice as much as the previous generation, although unified RAM remains at 32GB.

The device retains its Liquid Retina XDR display, 1,600 nits peak brightness, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, SD card slot, headphone jack, and MagSafe 3 charging.

The M5 MacBook Pro starts at approximately $1,695 for the 512GB model, offers up to 24 hours of battery life, and supports Wi-Fi 6E.

It comes in Silver and Space Black color options.

Vision Pro M5: Faster chip, smoother 120Hz display

Apple’s mixed-reality headset, Vision Pro, has also been upgraded with the M5 chip, offering improved performance and up to 3 hours of battery life.

The M5 allows for 10% more pixel density and increases the refresh rate from 100Hz to 120Hz, enhancing visual clarity and reducing motion blur.

The new chip introduces ray tracing and mesh shading - advanced graphics technologies previously available only with the M3 chip - creating a more immersive virtual experience.

The Vision Pro retains the R1 sensor-processing chip and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

Apple has introduced a new Dual Knit Band, designed for improved comfort and balance.

The package includes a 40W Dynamic Power Adapter, detachable battery, and standard accessories.

The price remains unchanged at $3,499, with storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.

This device is not yet available for purchase in Vietnam.

iPad Pro M5: 3.5x AI power boost, fast charging, and Wi-Fi 7

The new iPad Pro features a trio of proprietary Apple chips: M5, C1X, and N1.

Together, they deliver AI performance up to 3.5 times stronger than the previous model.

The C1X modem boosts mobile network speed by 50%, while the N1 chip enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support for faster, more stable connectivity.

The iPad Pro M5 also comes with a unified memory bandwidth of 150GB/s and supports external display at 120Hz with Adaptive Sync.

It supports fast charging up to 50% in just 30 minutes using the 40W adapter.

Available in storage capacities from 256GB to 2TB, the 256GB and 512GB models come with 12GB of RAM.

Sales begin on October 22, with prices starting at approximately $1,210 for the 11-inch model and $1,615 for the 13-inch version.

Apple described this release as a “breakthrough in performance and AI capability,” reinforcing its leadership in the intelligent personal computing market.
