The annual Things Everlasting concert, organized by VietnamNet under the direction of the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, took place at 2:00 PM on September 2 at the Ho Guom Theater in Hanoi.
In a jubilant atmosphere marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), Things Everlasting once again rose as a timeless melody that nourishes national spirit and connects generations of Vietnamese people.
The event welcomed leaders from various ministries, government agencies, embassies, and international organizations, all of whom offered high praise and positive feedback.
Ambassador Marc E. Knapper praised the concert as an extraordinary musical experience, expressing admiration for the performance and professionalism of the Sun Symphony Orchestra and the featured artists.
“It’s hard to pick a favorite performance. I was deeply impressed by the fusion of traditional Vietnamese music and Western instruments. It’s a remarkable intersection of two traditions and two cultures that creates an irresistible result,” said the Ambassador.
Dutch Ambassador Kees Van Baar was moved by the beauty of Vietnamese music, stating that it truly touched his heart. He also expressed hope for greater cultural collaboration between Vietnam and the Netherlands in the future.

Singaporean Ambassador Jaya Ratnam shared his joy in being part of such a special musical event and said he looks forward to next year’s concert with great anticipation.
Nguyen Thi Thu Anh, a Hanoi resident, expressed her joy at attending this year’s full-length performance. She was particularly touched by the patriotic songs that evoked deep emotions and a profound love for the homeland.
“The program was beautifully crafted, celebrating the cultural beauty of every region in Vietnam. Thank you to VietnamNet for offering us such a wonderful musical gift,” she said.
Nguyen To My, a long-time attendee from Thai Nguyen, said this year’s concert held unique emotional value for her, as it coincided with the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The 2025 edition of Things Everlasting marked the first time the concert was held at the newly inaugurated Ho Guom Theater. The elegant and modern venue provided excellent acoustics and a vibrant artistic ambiance.
This created a space that encouraged reflection and delivered an exceptional emotional experience throughout the performance.
Though the concert has concluded, its resonance continues. As a high-caliber cultural event, Things Everlasting 2025 extended the spirit of patriotism and national pride through each note and lyric.
